The story of the movie
Before describing the complete plot, we need to define two concepts – “quantum recording device” and “mental and physical synchronization”.
The “quantum recording device” in the film can be understood as a large database with artificial intelligence, which records the behavior and thinking trajectory of people in the real world. The significance of this device is that it can trace the past and predict the future, but when the data is damaged, it will repair itself.
The so-called “mental and physical synchronization” means that in the virtual world of the past timeline established by the quantum recording device, the mental state of the person concerned reaches the peak set by the manager of the real world system at a certain critical point in the progress of a specific event, then the mental consciousness of the person concerned in the virtual world will be synchronized with the physical body of the person concerned in the real world. synchronization. In the film, this technology has significant implications in the medical field.
On the basis of the definition of these two concepts, let’s sort out the complete plot of the movie.
In 2027, Kensho Naozumi and Rukuri, who were lovers, were struck by lightning while going out, and Kensho died of brain death to protect Rukuri. 2047, Rukuri, who has become an engineer of the quantum recording device, initiates a rescue plan using the core technology of synchronization of mind and body to revive her boyfriend.
Ruka uses the quantum recording device to create a virtual world (hereinafter referred to as Virtual World A) to reenact the 2027 lightning disaster, and in this particular event, when Kensho’s mental state reaches the peak of “sacrifice for love” set by the system, the rescue plan will be synchronized. However, there was an accident in the plan. In the virtual world A, this particular event turned out to be a lightning strike that killed Rukia’s brain. The reason for this was that Kensho’s mental state had not reached its peak. To put it simply, in Virtual World A, Kensho’s love for Rukia was not strong enough to “die for her”, which changed the outcome of the event.
At this point, the rescue plan failed for the time being, but Rukia in 2047 did not give up, and she kept watching the development of Virtual World A in order to find new opportunities.
In Virtual World A, after Rukia’s brain death, Kenshu was unable to break out of his psychological bond (an obsession caused by guilt, which will be discussed below), and in 2037, he became an engineer of a quantum recording device, and was ready to activate his girlfriend’s consciousness using the same technology of “synchronization of mind and body”.
The purpose of the virtual world B is to reenact the lightning accident in 2027 and to make Rukuri’s mental state reach the peak of “profound love for Kenshu” set by the system at a specific point in the event, thus completing the spiritual transformation. In order to make the plan go smoothly, Kensho from virtual world A enters virtual world B as an invisible body, and helps the 16-year-old Kensho in virtual world B to get close to Ruka and eventually make Ruka fall in love with Kensho.
I won’t go into the details of the plot, but in short, Kensho from virtual world A succeeded in synchronizing the consciousness of Ruka from virtual world B with the body of brain-dead Ruka from virtual world A. The reason for this is the above mentioned “guilt and obsession”. “guilt and obsession”. In layman’s terms, it is the entire virtual world A’s Kinshu, who wants to save Rukia not because of a deep love, but a paranoia that does not want to let go (what is expressed here is the movie’s understanding of love, which will be detailed below).
Now there are three worlds.
- In the real world of 2047, Rukia wants to save Kenshu.
- In the virtual world A in 2037, Kensho wants to save Rukia.
- Virtual World B in 2027, where Kensho changes the outcome of a specific event, but Ruka disappears.
When we look at the three worlds as a whole, there are two points to understand.
1.In Virtual World A, when Kenshu was about to start his plan, Rukia in the real world also intervened, in the guise of the raven, and as the ultimate manager of the system, she had the highest authority, which was reflected in the two virtual worlds as the “Hand of God”.
2.Since Virtual World A is using the real world as the database, and Virtual World B is using Virtual World A as the database, this causes data duplication in the quantum recording device, which is the data corruption mentioned above. Therefore, the device itself starts to repair itself. The essence of its repair is to delete the wrong data and restore the whole virtual world to a certain normal point in time. This means that the virtual world B must collapse, and the two Kinshu in the virtual world A, one must be gone.
We move on to the subsequent plot, the subsequent plot is simple.
Rukia from the real world with God’s perspective helps Kensho from virtual world B to rescue Rukia from virtual world A. The two continue to be together in the newly created virtual world. This is the best place for them to be.
The point is that Kensho of virtual world A finally understands that true love is not about obsession, but letting go. In the end, he chooses to sacrifice his ego. Hey, pay attention! Let go of love, sacrifice for love! Virtual world A’s Jianshu at this moment reached the peak of the spirit of the real world system settings, the latter, needless to say it.
The real world, brain-dead 20 years of Kenshu, awakened.
The main idea of the movie
The logic of this animated film is similar to “The Matrix”, the structure borrowed from “Inception”, inspired by the “Black Hole Frequency”. Overall, there are few bugs and a high degree of completion.
Through this story, the film expresses the creative team’s understanding of “love”, which is on two levels.
- When we get along, we sacrifice ourselves to protect each other.
- When they are apart, they sacrifice themselves to make each other whole.
- It all boils down to four words – sacrifice for love!
From a psychological point of view, one of the core characteristics of love is “altruism”. The vernacular is, from the heart, willing to help each other to achieve a certain result they expect. This is the core value of the embodiment is, sacrifice!
